- Grade level: To tailor responses to your level
- Subject: Subjects you ask questions about
Device information:
- Device ID: A unique identifier for your device used to associate your conversations

- Chat messages: Your questions and conversations with the AI tutor
- Images: Photos you upload for homework help (optional)
What we do NOT collect:
- Email address (unless you provide it)
- Geographic location (GPS)
- Phone contacts
- Financial information
- Advertising ID
2. How do we use your information?
Your information is used only for these purposes:
- Providing the AI tutoring service
- Preserving your chat history so you can continue where you left off
- Tailoring responses to your grade level
- Improving our app and services
- Resolving technical issues
3. Sharing of information
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your information may be shared with:
- AI services: Your messages are sent to AI models to generate responses
- Cloud services: To process your requests
These services are bound by their own privacy policies and use your data only to provide the service.
4. Data storage
Local storage (on your device):
- Chat history is stored on your device
- Your name and device ID are stored on your device
- You can delete this data at any time by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app
Server storage:
- Your messages are sent to our server for processing
- We do not store chat history on our servers long-term

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. This includes:
- Using HTTPS for all connections
- Securing our servers to industry standards
- Limiting access to your information
6. Children's privacy
Rahenan is designed for students of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us at slaw@rahenan.app to have that information removed.

You have the right to:
- Know: Understand what information we have collected about you
- Delete: Request deletion of your information

Our mobile app does not use cookies. We only use AsyncStorage for local data storage on your device.
